| About Us
We are four adults who have varying backgrounds in our professional and musical lives. We are all part of the flute section of our local community band, the Timberlane Community Band (TCB), and together, we have found a wonderful outlet for our music and a very special friendship.
- Carol Boudreau plays Piccolo and Flute and is the default director of Kokopelli. She's been playing flute for over thirty years, starting in elementary school, and performed in every musical group her schools had to offer. Her most influential teacher was Doris Roganti (Cincinnati Symphony), with whom she studied for many years. The TCB and Kokopelli are very important parts of her musical and social lives; after teaching flute lessons to children during the day, she really enjoys the interaction with adult musicians.
- Sue Miner, our Alto player, played through junior high and high school in the Concert, Symphonic and Marching Bands. She has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA and is a sales manager for an industrial pneumatics company. Five years ago she started playing flute with the TCBand and shortly after, started playing with the flute group that eventually became Kokopelli. She plays with the groups to "keep her sanity in this crazy world".
- Beth Clark is our Bass player. By trade, she is the controller for a Massachusetts hospital, but her musical training began in first grade when she started playing piano. In high school, she taught herself to play flute over one summer and has kept at it ever since. She has since studied with Terry D'Errico, and joined the TCB and the Flute Group. She is part of a very musical family, and her knowledge and background have been an important asset to the group.
- Laura Carlsen plays Concert Flute for Kokopelli. She started playing flute in fifth grade and continued through high school where she played in the Concert Band, Orchestra, and Marching band. She started playing with the TCB and the Flute Group about five years ago and enjoys working on new musical challenges. She makes her living in computer graphic arts and her wide-ranging artistic abilities are greatly valued by everyone in the group.
